ARTs FIREARMS TRAINING COURSES

We arrange intensive full 1 to 5 Day training courses followed by tests leading directly to the Shield LT ARTs diploma, which states your capabilities to operate as an Armed Officer in Tactical Environments. These are strictly “pass or fail” courses, there are no shortcuts allowed when it comes to tactical shooting in real life scenarios, either you can do it or you cannot!

Our courses are based on “hands on” experience in tactical shooting from the first hour on the first day until the last hour on the last day. Realism is what we proudly provide and that is what is going to keep our students alive and the end of a dangerous tactical encounter. ARTs stands for Automatic Responsive Tactical shooting, this is a concept of firearms training were the student are taught methods of shooting that relies on his normal physical reaction to violent and dangerous incidents. ARTs methods ensure that the student is capable of swiftly and accurately engaging criminal elements in a hostile environment.

Every day we spend time rehearsing tactically in the safe and efficient way to engage an enemy tactically and then we resume the “ongoing firearms training”, incorporating a vast range of methods and all manner of scenarios, which an Armed Officer might encounter. We believe that this “hands on the weapon” training delivers far more actual experience than studying in a classroom for hours on end or merely watching an instructor showing off. We demonstrate to our clients and students how to go about their tactical encounters from maintenance and safety before going on duty, to weapon retention and tactical engagements while on duty; all students will be under the direct supervision at all times from experienced professional firearms instructors.

All applicants should be at least 20 years of age, in good health and provide a new criminal record sheet. Applicants should preferably have prior experience in the Police or Military, or be currently serving officers. To achieve the best training possible places are limited to maximum 20 student’s pr course, so please book as far in advance as possible!

The ARTs shooting programs were originally designed for armed Close Protection, Counter Assault Team members, Police and Military personal.

1-Day ARTs Advanced Pistol Shooting

Minimum 4 Students – Maximum 10 Students; Equipment: Pistol, Duty Holster, 2 magazines, 100 Pistol Rounds. Each student must bring a flashlight, Uniform or casual clothes, baseball style cap, eye & ear protection.

Training will include: Firearms Safety, Correct Grip, Stances & Balance, Drawing, Aim Fire & Point Fire, Tactical Aiming, Shooting Stances & Positions, Movement & Shooting, Single & Double Hand Shooting, Off-Hand Shooting, Tactical Reloading, Single Hand Reloading, Point & Aim, Draw & Hip Shooting, Contact Shooting Training With Static Targets, Ammunition selection.

Course price pr student are GBP £200 and includes weapon, ammunition and meals.

2-Day ARTs Advanced Pistol Shooting

Minimum 4 Students – Maximum 10 Students; Equipment: Pistol, Duty Holster, 3 magazines, 400 Pistol Rounds. Each student must bring a flashlight, Uniform or casual clothes, baseball style cap, eye & ear protection.

Training will include: Firearms Safety, Correct Grip, Stances & Balance, Drawing, Aim Fire & Point Fire, Tactical Aiming, Shooting Stances & Positions, Movement & Shooting, Single & Double Hand Shooting, Off-Hand Shooting, Tactical Reloading, Single Hand Reloading, Point & Aim, Draw & Hip Shooting, Contact Shooting Training With Static & Moving Targets, Ammunition selection, Moving targets, Use of cover and concealment.

Course price pr student are GBP £300 and includes weapon, ammunition, accommodation and meals.

If two courses are ordered simultaneously we offer a 10% discount on the total order price, if three or more courses are ordered we offer a 15% discount of the total order price!

4-Day ARTs Tactical Pistol Shooting

Minimum 2 Students – Maximum 10 Students; Equipment: Pistol, Duty Holster, 3 magazines, 700 Pistol Rounds. Each student must bring tactical gear, body armour, flashlight, Uniform or casual clothes, baseball style cap, eye & ear protection.

Day 1 & 2 Training will include: Firearms Safety, Correct Grip, Stances & Balance, Drawing, Aim Fire & Point Fire, Tactical Aiming, Shooting Stances & Positions, Movement & Shooting, Single & Double Hand Shooting, Off-Hand Shooting, Tactical Reloading, Single Hand Reloading, Point & Aim, Draw & Hip Shooting, Contact Shooting Training with Static & Moving Targets, Ammunition selection, Moving targets, Use of cover and concealment.

Day 3 & 4 Training will include: Tactical Contact Shooting, Tactical Withdrawal during Engagement, Shooting in a Team, Multi Directional Enemy Attack, Tactical Search and Engage, Team Contact Scenarios, Stress Shooting, Hostage Scenarios, Embus & Debus, Contact Scenarios, Shooting From inside Vehicles, Counter Vehicle Ambush Scenarios, Hostage Rescue Scenarios and Vehicle Stop & Search Tactics.

Course price pr student are GBP £520 and weapon, ammunition, accommodation and meals.

2-Day ARTs Rifle Marksman

Minimum 4 Students – Maximum 8 Students; Equipment: 300 rifle rounds, Semi-automatic rifle, 2 rifle magazines. Each student must bring tactical gear, body armour, flashlight, eye and ear protection, full tactical uniform; helmet, knee and elbow pads are recommended.

Training will include: Firearms Safety, Ammunition selection, Precision Shooting, Breathing & Trigger Control, Mounting and aiming, Fundamentals of shooting, Firing positions, Moving targets, Use of cover and concealment, Target Neutralizing, Instant Kill Shots, Low Light Shooting and Tactical Scenarios.

Course price pr student are GBP £390 and includes weapon, ammunition, accommodation and meals.

5-Day ARTs Precision Rifle Sniper

Minimum 4 Students – Maximum 8 Students; Equipment: 500 rifle rounds and 50 pistol rounds, Precision Rifle with Scope, pistol, holster, 1 spare magazine, Spotting Scope. Each student must bring Camouflage Gear, Tactical gear, body armour, flashlight, eye and ear protection, Camouflage Uniform; backpack, helmet, knee and elbow pads are recommended.

Training will include: Navigations & Camouflage, Firearms Safety, Ammunition selection, Precision Shooting, Breathing & Trigger Control, Mounting and aiming, Fundamentals of shooting, Range Estimation, Hide-Outs, Firing positions, Long Range & Unknown Range shooting, Elevation & Temperature, Moving targets, Use of cover and concealment, Communication & Surveillance, Specific Target Identification, Object & Target Neutralizing, Instant Kill Shots, Low Light Shooting and Tactical Scenarios.

Course price pr student is GBP £750 and includes weapons, ammunition, accommodation and meals.

All instructions are given in English, if the student does not speak English the student must provide a fluent translator. The Shield LT may change the day-to-day plan according to circumstances, but all subjects will be fully taught and covered in detail.

Please the students will be assessed on their individual knowledge and their ability to shoot under duress; in real life scenarios. The assessment covers the following skills and personal strengths:

Tests will be given at the beginning of the courses and at the end of the courses; results will be mailed to students within two weeks of completion. Firearms Diplomas for the specific course will be issued to those who pass the course. All students will receive the Shield LT Diploma for Basic Firearms Safety. Advice and assistance will be given to each student during the course to help them progress and improve their skills to an acceptable level of professionalism.

All Students must bring the following items:

• A Sturdy Belt

			Not necessary for Shotgun Course

• Good Quality Weapons Holster

• Depending on Training or Unit

  Casual clothes (Jeans and Slacks)

• Rough Clothes or Combat Uniform
• Tactical Gear and Equipment

• Depending on weather

  Warm, Water resistant coat

• Hiking boots or shoes
• Gloves and knit cap
• Warm Underwear and socks

			Only for courses with Night shooting

• Small torch-light / weapon mount

• Good humour and Self Discipline

Be aware that you could get dirty and wet every day so don’t bring only fancy clothes or brand new uniforms for daily training, students will have to supply their own travel, medical, injury and life insurance, the Shield.lt is not in any way responsible for any liability or injury towards the students or injuries or accidents caused by the students.
